The Herbert W. Armstrong and Radio Church of God Historical Trail & Photo Album
Introduction
For many years I have had great interest in the history of the sabbatarian movement from its foundations in the first century. It dawned on me many years ago that some of the Churches of God have not kept a detailed history of their pioneers, including the Worldwide Church of God (known as the Radio Church of God until 1968).
I noticed also that the Seventh Day Baptists and Seventh-day Adventists (and non-Sabbatarians) have kept very good historical records of the history of their groups – see for example:
• sdbhistory.org/
• www.aplib.org/
• washington.netadvent.org/
• en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seventh-day_Adventist_Church_Pioneers
• www.thethirdangelsmessage.com/pioneers_philadelphia.php
As such I determined to keep record of the Worldwide Church of God pioneers and others overlooked (such as Greenberry George Rupert) in the following
articles:
• Church of God and Sabbatarian Timelines
• Worldwide Church of God Pioneers Timeline
• List of Pioneers and Senior Veterans of the Worldwide Church of God
• Greenberry George Rupert. A Significant Church of God Leader
• Greenberry George Rupert. Man of God!
• Herbert W Armstrong. Man of God!
• Herman L Hoeh. A Salute to a Worldwide Church of God Pioneer
• And a lot more at: www.friendsofsabbath.org/ABC.htm and in my own collection of information in folders
It seemed to me that there was a real need for consolidated information and a logical ‘trail’ of Herbert W Armstrong’s and the Radio Church of God’s early
Work – that something in this vein was overdue for assembling together. Hence this historical trail and album.
